Achille Alipour joined the firm as an associate in 2016, following a clerkship with the Honorable Justine A. Niccollai, of the Passiac County Superior Court, Chancery Division. He is a graduate of Rutgers University School of Law – Newark, where he was treasurer of the Student Bar Association and a member of the Mock Trial team.
During his clerkship, Mr. Alipour worked in one of the busiest dockets in one of New Jersey’s busiest counties, handling matters from filing to disposition. He prepared motion orders and drafted bench memorandums that assisted the Court in making its decision. He is an experienced mediator, having handled countless contested family part matters, as well as landlord tenant disputes and small claims resolution.
In addition to serving as a judiciary law clerk, Mr. Alipour was a member of the Rutgers Constitutional Rights Litigation clinic. There, he focused on impact litigation, in both federal and state court, geared towards free-speech and election issues in the United States and New Jersey Supreme Courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, the New Jersey Appellate Division and numerous federal and state trial courts.
Mr. Alipour was also responsible for drafting a new governing document for the Rutgers Law – Newark Student Bar Association as the school prepared a merger with its sister campus in Camden. The constitution drafted during Mr. Alipour’s term as Treasurer serves as the basis of the joint Bar Association of the two schools.
Mr. Alipour works under the direction of Fredric Gallin, handling liability and coverage matters in both New Jersey and New York.
