Marc Mucciolo joined the Firm in 2016, following eight years of private practice at a well-known New Jersey education and employment law firm, where he served as Counsel and Co-Chair of the firm’s special education department. Prior to entering private practice, Marc served as law clerk to the Honorable James P. Courtney, Jr. J.S.C., and the Honorable Marquis D. Jones, Jr., J.S.C., of the Superior Court in Ocean County. As a law clerk, Marc worked in the Civil, Special Civil and Landlord/Tenant courts, and also served as head of the Mediation program for his fellow clerks.
Marc’s practice focuses primarily on special education law and insurance coverage litigation, as well as general education law and employment law. Marc has successfully tried many special education cases to the benefit of the respective boards of education he represented, through formal due process and requests for emergent relief. Marc is also an experienced negotiator, having participated in many successful settlement and mediation sessions throughout the State.
Marc is well-versed in all areas of special education law, including Section 504 and civil rights issues. He lectures frequently on special education topics at the New Jersey School Boards Association Annual Workshop, as well as for NJAPSA, NJASA and various School Nurse associations. Marc has provided many in-service presentations to child study teams, teachers/staff and administrators, as well as through local universities offering programs for potential school administrators.
