Search EDP, Inc. v. American Home Assur. Co., 267 N.J. Super. 537, 632 A.2d 286 (App. Div. 1993)

Practice Areas: First Party, Insurance Coverage and Bad Faith

In this case an appellate panel was called upon to determine coverage with respect to a general liability policy and professional liability policy covering an employment agency. The agency had placed an employee who later assaulted a co-employee. The general liability policy contained an exclusion for the “rendering of professional services”. The professional liability policy contained an exclusion for claims arising from “bodily injury”. The court found the American Home policy professional liability policy inherently ambiguous but found no coverage under the general liability policy issued by our client, Franklin Mutual.
