  • Ed Thornton Appears on the 100th Episode of AM Best’s Insurance Law Podcast

    January 13, 2015

Ed Thornton of Methfessel & Werbel was the guest on the milestone 100th episode of AM Best’s Insurance Law Podcast. During the interview with John Czuba, editor of Best’s Directory of Recommended Insurance Attorneys, the Methfessel & Werbel partner defines the often-misunderstood “mode of operation” rule and explains who can be held liable under this theory. He points out the practical effect the doctrine has on the parties involved and provides some examples of its application.

Ed also discusses the underwriting implications of the “mode of operation” doctrine and its development in New Jersey courts.

Ed Thornton handles liability defense trials and appeals on behalf of insurance carriers and their insureds. He specializes in the defense of catastrophic injury, legal malpractice, dental and medical malpractice cases, as well as the defense of lead poisoning and product liability matters.
