Robert Planter joined the firm in 2024 following a clerkship with Kenneth T. Palmer, J.S.C. in the Criminal Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Ocean Vicinage. During his clerkship, Mr. Planter managed Judge Palmer’s motion calendar, researched various legal topics, recommended dispositions of pending motions, assisted with trial motions and courtroom administration. He also served as a civil mediator, assisting parties in small claims disputes.

While at Rutgers Law School – Newark, Mr. Planter served as a summer associate in the Intellectual Property and Media practice group at Davis + Gilbert LLP. He also gained experience as a clinical law student in the Intellectual Property Law Clinic, where he assisted small businesses and entrepreneurs with filing trademark, copyright and patent applications. Additionally, Mr. Planter served as the Events Chair of the Entertainment and Sports Law Society and was an active member of the Black Law Students Association at Rutgers Law.

Mr. Planter is a member of Methfessel & Werbel’s Civil Rights and Employment Practices group under the direction of Eric L. Harrison.
