Steven A. Unterburger

Steven Unterburger joined the firm in 2016 following a clerkship with the Honorable Jamie S. Perri, J.S.C. in the Civil Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Monmouth Vicinage. During his clerkship, Mr. Unterburger was responsible for researching and drafting opinions on motions, including those arising from Mt. Laurel constitutional compliance litigation, as well as orders to show cause and actions in lieu of prerogative writs. He also served as a certified civil mediator, assisting parties in the settlement of small claims cases.

Mr. Unterburger graduated from Rutgers School of Law-Newark in 2015, magna cum laude and Order of the Coif. While attending law school, Mr. Unterburger served as a Managing Articles Editor for the Rutgers Computer and Technology Law Journal. As a member of the Rutgers Community and Transactional Lawyering Clinic, Mr. Unterburger assisted clients in the formation of non-profit corporations and LLCs, and represented an alleged incapacitated person and a petitioner for guardianship in two civil guardianship proceedings. Mr. Unterburger also completed internships with C.R. Bard, Inc., the Honorable Lois H. Goodman, U.S.M.J., and the Honorable Jamie S. Perri, J.S.C., and participated in the Honorable Morris Stern Bankruptcy Pro Bono Project.

Mr. Unterburger graduated from The College of New Jersey in 2012, magna cum laude. During his time as an undergraduate, Mr. Unterburger worked as an intern for the national office of Pop Warner Little Scholars, the New York Islanders, and the Walt Disney World Resort.

Mr. Unterburger is a member of the general liability team at Methfessel & Werbel and practices under the direction of Paul J. Endler.
